Instagram Highlights for business: what to put in each one

Which Instagram Highlights a Saudi business needs, what to put inside each one, how to design the covers and how to keep them up to date so visitors find answers without sending a message.

Highlights sit right under your bio, and many visitors tap them before they scroll your posts. Done well, they answer the questions people would otherwise send you in a message: the prices, the location, how to order. Done badly, they are a row of old stories nobody opens. This guide shows which Highlights to keep and what to put in each.

The Highlights most businesses need

  • Prices or menu. The most asked question, answered before anyone asks.
  • How to order or book. Step by step, with the link, the WhatsApp number and the delivery areas.
  • Location. A short video from the street to the door, the map pin and the parking.
  • Our work or products. Your best results, not everything you ever posted.
  • Customer words. Real messages and reviews, shared with permission and with personal details hidden.
  • Questions. The five questions people ask most, with short answers.

Order matters

People see the first three or four Highlights without swiping. Put the ones that lead to a sale first, usually prices, how to order and location, and move seasonal ones such as Ramadan offers to the front only while the season lasts.

Covers that look like your brand

Use your brand colours and one simple icon or one or two words per cover. Covers in the same style make the profile look organised and make each Highlight easy to find. Arabic words on covers should be short and large enough to read at a small size.

Keep them fresh

Old prices, a closed branch or last year's offer in a Highlight hurt trust more than having no Highlight at all. Review them once a month, remove anything outdated and add new stories that answer recent questions.

Our Instagram check-up asks about your Highlights among six quick questions and tells you what to fix first.

Keep personal data out

When you share customer messages or reviews, hide names, numbers and order details unless the customer agreed to show them. The Saudi Personal Data Protection Law takes this seriously, and customers notice brands that respect it.

When to get help

Our social media management service sets up your bio, Highlights and covers, keeps them up to date and plans the stories that feed them every month.

Frequently asked questions

How many Highlights should a business have?

Usually four to six. Enough to answer the main questions, few enough that people can see them all.

What should the first Highlight be?

The one that leads to a sale, usually prices or menu, then how to order and the location.

Do Highlight covers matter?

Yes. Covers in your brand colours with one simple icon or a short word make the profile look organised and help people find what they need.

How often should I update Highlights?

Review them at least once a month, and update them at once when prices, hours or locations change.
